PBV - Project Based Vouchers
The Project Based Voucher (PBV) Program is a federally funded and income-based program designed to provide decent and safe housing in the private market to qualified, very low, and extremely low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. The PBV program is funded with a portion of the appropriated funding (budget authority) available under OHA's tenant-based voucher annual contributions contract with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). There is no special or additional funding for project-based vouchers.
Unlike the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, the Project Based Voucher (PBV) program's assistance is attached to the structure or a specific unit.
